Sickness and other plans

You know being sick is no fun. After a couple days of putzing around after June closed , I came down with a nasty chest cold and was knocked out of commission for what was at least a good week. Too put it bluntly it sucked. I wanted to do other things and think about doing cool things in the future. But instead I had no energy to do much of anything. But now after a trip to the doctor, I'm doing much better, but still not quite over it. After two weeks after June closed, I'm finally back working and feeling better. Now I can start to think of cool things to do in the future, like maybe go to spring training for a few days. And figure out what do for the summer and beyond. There's a lot to figure out, relationships, jobs, places to go and what's next all under the auspice of what will be God's will in all these areas and more. But I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store wherever it may be.

Comics are cool!

In Bishop, CA I've have just found something a really cool. A shop that carries comics!!! It's taken a long time but finally I've found some civilization and sanity in the middle of this ski town I live in. Now we just need to something about a baseball team and I'm all set.

Closing

It has been a surreal week cleaning up the kitchen at June Mtn. Instead of the hustle and bustle of a midseason week at June, it was really quite and depressing. It is one thing to clean up an operation at the end of busy and successful season, it is another to clean up and shut down in what should be the middle of the season. Especally a season that didn't really feel like it got started. Well that's life in the seasonal business, some years you get the record snowfalls and the next you get none. I think it might be time to find a job that isn't dependent on the snow or just a season. And since June is closed. I'm out of a job at the moment. Hopefully it dumps soon, so I can get some hours and not be an unemployed bum. I'm okay with being a bum in October, but not Feburary. It's time to be working. So Pray for snow!
