The Eeyore birthday cake

After the disaster of a meal that I had on Saturday night, I had to do something to bring back the notion that there is good food out there. And on Sunday there was the perfect opportunity to do so. You see on Sunday it was my friend Abby's birthday and after some scheming and planning with her roommate we settled on an awesome plan. You see Abby has had a very limited culinary palate and we decided to expand it dramatically and also to treat her and spoil her just a bit we ended up taking her to Skadies one of the top fine dinning restaurants in Mammoth, where we dinned on foie gras, roasted lamb shank, snapper, and excellently prepared chicken and topped off with some excellent wine. And finished off with some excellent chocolate dessert. It was an amazing meal with plenty of good conversation. But after that meal the best was yet to come. You see I had made her an Eeyore birthday cake and when we were heading back to their place it was time to present it. And when she saw it, the realization of that the cake was Eeyore was priceless and amazing to see the look on her face. For me making it and presenting the cake to her was worth so much more than anything I could have bought for her. So without further ado here's Eeyore.
